Greetings from Fr. Raju, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Clarksdale.
We are deeply sad having to cancel all Masses and keep the Church doors locked. We are following instructions from the Diocese. You can log onto the diocesan website, jacksondiocese.org, to read the statement from Bishop Kopacz and other updates.
The church office is closed; but we are checking the mail, email and returning calls daily. If you have an emergency, please call the office at 662-624-4301 or one of the office staff members.
Many parishioners have asked questions and are concerned about tithing. Although the Church is closed our expenses remain the same. Our finances depend upon our generous giving. There are several ways to send your tithe. You can drop it in the mail to 130 Florence Ave., Clarksdale, MS 38614, or if you pay bills through online banking, you can set St. Elizabeth Church up as a recurring payment. The bank sends out a check directly to the Church.
If you need help with this or have questions, feel free to call Nancy Meyers at 601-960-8458 or 662-902-9991.
Please know that we wish to communicate and stay in touch. This is a difficult time for the entire world and especially for our country. With that being said, please gather your family and schedule a time to pray together. Let us remember that God is with us and our prayers are powerful.
I will continue to offer daily Mass at 12:10pm. Please join me as I am going to offer Novena (9 days) Masses beginning Sunday, March 22 through Monday, March 30, for the healing of the people throughout the world who are affected with the Covid-19 (Corona Virus). We will pray the Divine Mercy. Please join me in daily Masses spiritually and receive the Communion spiritually.
We will not be preparing a weekly bulletin, but for the latest up-to-date information check our website
