What is Lent?
Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It is a time of preparation to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter.

Ash Wednesday Mass Times
Wednesday, March 5 (day of fasting and abstinence)
8:15 a.m. SES School Mass
12:10 p.m. at Immaculate Conception
6:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth
Mondays
We'd like to encourage everyone to use Mondays as a day of personal prayer during Lent. The church will be unlocked and Father Raju will also offer Mass at 5:30 p.m.
Adult Lenten Study
Join us for a study on the book Wilderness Within by Sr. Josephine Garrett. Every Tuesday immediately following 5:30 p.m. Mass in the church meeting room. Begins Tuesday, March 4.
Silent Adoration
Thursdays during Lent from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Join us in the church for an hour of silent prayer. Bring your family and spend time with Jesus as we prepare to celebrate his Passion and Resurrection.
Lenten Luncheons
Every Friday at 12:00 p.m., beginning Marc 17th. Join us in McKenna Hall for an abstinence-friendly meal and short devotion/reflection.
Stations of the Cross
Every Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the SES Students.
Every Friday at 5:30 p.m. with Mass and fish fry to follow (alternating between IC and St. E, beginning March 7th at IC)
Lectio Divina
Join us in praying with Scripture every Sunday immediately following 10:30 a.m. Mass.
Lenten Confessions and Talk with Fr Mark Schoffner
Thursday, March 20, 5:30 p.m. Lenten Talk by Fr. Mark Shoffner from Oxford, MS followed by confessions until 7:15 p.m. Several priests will be available.
Movie Night
Thursday, March 27th, 5:30 p.m. Join us as we show Jesus Thirsts: The Miracle of the Eucharist. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 6:00 p.m. The event will be free to the public. The church is covering the $12 per person charge from Faith Content Network to host the movie event, so concession sales and donations will be taken to go toward these costs.
